Itinerary
Day 1
Kota Kinabalu ✈ Guangzhou (transit)
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for rest.
Day 2
Guangzhou ✈ Lijiang
Upon arrival, transfer to Black Dragon Pool Park, enjoy the beautiful snow mountain reflections. Lunch features local Yunnan specialties.
Assemble to explore Lijiang Old Town (UNESCO Heritage Site). Enjoy free time to explore the ancient city and its night views.
Day 3
Lijiang
Free day to explore or join optional tour.
Day 4
Lijiang – 4HR – Shangri-La
Drive along scenic mountain roads to Shangri-La, passing through alpine valleys and gorges.
Visit:

Tiger Leaping Gorge – one of the deepest gorges in the world, with dramatic river views.

Shangri-La Ancient Town – blend of Tibetan culture and old-town charm.

Songzanlin Monastery – largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, known as the “Little Potala Palace,” a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Day 5
Shangri-La – 2.5HR → Lijiang
Visit Napahai Meadow and enjoy the seasonal wetland scenery (horse-riding experience available from June–October, optional at own cost).
After lunch, visit Yunnan’s largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery — Songzanlin Monastery (includes eco-shuttle service).
Experience the solemn grandeur of the "Little Potala Palace." Return to Lijiang and rest.
Day 6
Lijiang – 1HR → Shaxi – 1HR → Dali
In the morning, visit Shaxi Ancient Town, a quiet historical town along the ancient tea-horse route, known for its well-preserved charm.
After lunch, continue to Dali Ancient Town, where you'll explore local landmarks such as the City Wall, Wenxian Road, and Foreigner Street.
Enjoy leisure time soaking in the cultural atmosphere.
Day 7
Dali – 5HR → Kunming
Visit Ideal Land, the "Santorini of Dali" (includes internet-famous afternoon tea + one-way electric car). Capture breathtaking photos of blue-white architecture with Erhai Lake in the background. Next, drive to Kunming. In the evening, stroll Kunming Old Street, and explore Nanqiang Gourmet Street, a trendy local food hub. Try local favorites at own cost such as crossing-the-bridge noodles and flower cakes.
Day 8
Kunming – 1.5HR → Stone Forest – 1.5HR → Kunming
Morning visit to Stone Forest Scenic Area (UNESCO World Heritage, includes electric cart), admire the spectacular karst formations. Midday, go to an orchard for seasonal fruit picking (e.g. strawberries in December). Afternoon visit to Dounan Flower Market, Asia’s largest fresh flower wholesale market — shop for fresh blooms at your leisure.
Day 9
Kunming ✈ Guangzhou ✈ Kota Kinabalu
